Reversing Truck Takes out the Town's Power

Occurred on June 18, 2020 / Cooper, Texas, USA

Info from Licensor: "A truck driver driving an 18wheeler truck attempted to back down a dead-end street on a Thursday evening. As the truck was backing up he hit the power line that ran across the two sides of the street, pulling it from the transformers, causing a huge vibration and loud boom which caused the power to go out in most of the town. I’m unsure why he was carrying what looked like an empty tank and backing it into a residential area. Later, our local police showed up to monitor and control the area. A little later Oncor electric showed up and was able to shut power off completely to free the truck and repair the damaged lines. The truck left, unsure if any citations were given to the truck driver."
