Runaway chicken stays on 22nd-floor window ledge for 7 days in China's Hangzhou

A runaway chicken stayed on a 22nd-floor window ledge of a building for a week in eastern China.

The video, filmed in Hangzhou city in Zhejiang Provine on June 14, shows an officer from the City Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau lying on the building roof to use a long stick to retrieve the hen.

Eventually, the chicken flew down and landed without being hurt. Officers waiting on the ground caught the hen in a bush.

According to reports, the hen escaped from the 23rd-floor apartment and flew to the 22nd-floor window ledge on a nearby block, when Mr Wang was about to kill it for his dinner.

Since Mr Wang could not catch the hen, he called for help from the City Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau.

Finally, the officers caught the hen and returned it back to Mr Wang.
