Shovelnose Shark on Moreton Island

Occurred on January 13, 2020 / Moreton Island, Queensland, Australia

Info from Licensor: "We were on summer vacation (Jan 2020) with family on Moreton Island (one of the world's largest sand islands where we holiday regularly). Chris was in the shallows with the kids when the adults on the beach called out ‘SHARK!’ We saw the fins gliding through the waves straight towards them. He got the kids out as quickly as he could before checking to see what type of shark it was. Once he was sure it was a shovelnose, he stayed in with it. He didn’t want to harass it, so he kept back. I had no idea that they had no teeth! You can tell we had no idea that it was a harmless shark (also known as a Shovel Nose Ray) when this was being filmed."
