Spectacled cobra rescued from toilet bowl in southern India

A spectacled cobra was found inside a toilet bowl in a home in southern India on Sunday (June 9).

The five-foot-reptile was found in the residence of a Pramod Kumar in JP Nagar 7th Phase in Bangalore, Karnataka state, following heavy rains in the area.

The family called the local waste authority (BBMP), who in turn contacted snake rescuer Mr Jayaraj S who helped remove the snake from the residence.

The snake rescuer rescued the cobra by pulling him out from the toilet bowl using a snake rod, and later released him into forest.
