Suspected broken ankle among injuries sustained at Gloucestershire's Cheese Rolling event, UK


Injuries have been sustained by at least one person taking part in the 2019 annual Cheese Rolling event in Brockworth, Gloucestershire on May 27.

The man in this clip is being tended to by emergency service personnel after he is suspected of suffering a broken ankle.

Every year the event attracts thousands of people around the globe to witness and take part in the old English tradition of chasing a wheel of cheese down a very steep hill. Every year many of the contestants sustain varying degrees of injuries.

Footage shows the man being covered by sheets after being put on a stretcher. He is then removed from the hill on the stretcher as press and spectators crowd around him.
