Thirsty king cobra gets drink of water after being rescued from fishnet


A king cobra became trapped in a fishing net in eastern India, eventually being rescued and given water by a local snake wrangler.

Video of the rescue which took place in Bhadrak District, Odisha on September 12, shows villagers helping cut the fishing net with a blade, while the wrangler, Mirza Arif, is holding the snake down.

The local villagers called Arif after discovering the lost reptile, and after being retrieved and receiving care, the snake was later released in forest.
