Thousands watch as 'Giants of Liverpool' hit the streets

The people of Liverpool have been revelling in the very impressive Giant Spectacular which has swept across the city, showcasing the story's colossal characters.

Shot in the city centre, the dog "Xolo" and the child character "Little Boy Giant" can be seen towering over the crowds as they pass through the streets today (October 5).

Walking from the St. George's Hall Plateau through the city streets, the Little Boy Giant route will end in Princes Park where he will fall into a slumber for the evening.

The 20ft tall marionette will be woken again tomorrow to make his way to Mann Island and Clarence Dock before another siesta.

The filmer said: "The atmosphere is buzzing, there must be thousands of people coming to see the giants."

He later added: "My favourite part was Xolo the dog, he was going past bus stops cocking his leg up."
