Toronto braces for more flooding as Lake Ontario water levels reach highest level in recorded history

Severe flooding hits Toronto waterfront as Lake Ontario water levels continue to rise.

Footage captured on June 3 shows water inundating a pedestrian promenade.

Authorities have deployed 30 water pumps and 24,000 sandbags to hold off rising lake water.

The rising lake levels could mean further breaches of the Islands' shoreline.
