Tropical Storm Michael arrives in North Carolina


Tropical Storm Michael headed towards the Carolinas on Thursday, October 11 after making landfall as a Category 4 hurricane in the Florida Panhandle.

This video, filmed in Cary, North Carolina, shows the storm coming in.

Trees and power lines were downed as Michael brought strong winds, and many parts of the Triangle area were also flooded.

Michael was the third most intense continental U.S. landfall by pressure and fourth strongest by maximum sustained winds on record. The storm has killed at least six people, the most recent being a 38-year-old man who died when a large tree fell on his vehicle on Highway 64, east of Statesville, North Carolina,
