Two deer rescued after getting antlers entangled in irrigation pipes

A bizarre incident in India saw two blackbucks get their antlers entangled in irrigation pipes.

The two antelopes had gone in search of water near Miraj village in Ahmednagar district in South Western India on January 20.

They found water at a farm but managed to get their horns entangled in irrigation pipes that had been drawing water from a canal to grow pomegranates.

The two animals began to panic as they tried to free themselves but ended up tugging at each other, further tightening the knots around their antlers.

Three men passing through the farm noticed the plight of the blackbucks and stepped in to free them.

They pacified the deer which were fighting ferociously to free themselves and then patiently released them from the pipes.
