US family has close encounter with 'friendly' baby deer

A lucky family in Tennessee enjoyed the unexpected visit of a fawn outside their home.

Footage captured on June 15 in Kingston Springs shows the little one getting close to the family members and allowing them to pet it.

The filmer told Newsflare: ''This newborn fawn ran out of the woods and 'adopted' our family one afternoon recently at our home.''

''She followed us around like a puppy for 45 minutes, after which her mom began snorting from the woods and called her back.

''It was an absolutely magical experience.''
