Winter Storm Gia blankets Midwest

A winter storm slammed much of the Midwest over the weekend, dumping snow and causing widespread transport disruptions.

Counties across the region experienced record breaking levels of snow, with the storm resulting in at least 10 deaths, local media reported.

Thousands of flights were also canceled due to whiteout conditions.

This video, filmed in Wright City, shows heavy snow coming down. Nearly 900 accidents were reported around the St. Louis area.
