Wreckage of North Carolina building following massive gas explosion

Footage taken a day following the Durham gas leak explosion shows the collapsed building spilling out onto the sidewalk and neighboring buildings.

The footage was taken by a nearby resident today (April 11) who said that: "surrounding roads are blocked off by police."

According to local news reports, workers used heavy-duty backpack blowers to clear debris on the ground during the clean-up operation.

Durham police spokesman Wil Glenn said the blast occurred just after 10am yesterday after a contractor boring under the sidewalk hit a 2-inch gas line.
