Affectionate 'kissing' fish lock lips at restaurant to amusement of diners

Two fish at a restaurant aquarium in southern Indonesia began kissing repeatedly to the amusement of nearby diners, as seen in this cute and funny video.

Filmed in the city of Bogor, ​​West Java on December 30, 2018, we see the fish swimming amongst each other until two start kissing each other.

The filmer commented: "Watching these fish kiss, the visitors of the restaurant laughed too."

The 'kissing' behaviour is believed by scientists to actually be a form of territorial contest, with the two fish trying to push each other away by pushing water through each others' mouths.
