Ancient 'fire hockey' game lights up Mayan archaeological site


The ancient game of "fire hockey" was filmed at a Mayan archaeological site in southern Mexico, as players passed and shot a ball of fire to each other.

The sport, also called "pelota purépecha", was believed to have been developed up to 3500 years ago and was demonstrated at Xcaret Park, in Quintana Roo state, Mexico.
