Angry elephant finally moved after three days hassling villagers

This elephant was finally trapped and removed from a village after three days of attacks on residents.

Villagers in Dimbulaga, Sri Lanka, alerted wildlife officials to the elephant's presence on October 4.

Despite efforts to tranquilise and transport the animal, it stayed put.

Locals and wildlife officials worked together to shift the massive elephant into a truck to move to a safer location on October 7.

A report for Sri Lanka's parliament showed that in 2016, almost 90 people were killed by elephants, while 279 elephants were killed by people.
