''It's coming our way!'' Texas driver speeds away from ominous tornado

Jaimie Shaffer was driving home with a colleague in Texas when they spotted a huge tornado from across a nearby lake yesterday (May 29).

They decided to get away from the area as quickly as possible, as they watched it cross directly over the main road and head in their direction.

Footage shows the moment Jaimie drives away from the area as the tornado swirls in the distance.

Schaffer commented that she drove fast but pulled over a few times to ''warn people who couldn't see it coming behind the buildings'', who then ''ran inside immediately''.
