'Yellow vest' roadside protestors sing O Canada in Medicine Hat, Alberta

Inspired by the political movement in France, 'Yellow vest' protesters in Canada took to the streets nationwide this weekend to denounce the country's plan to endorse the United Nations' migration pact — which outlines objectives for treating global migrants humanely and efficiently — as well as a carbon tax.

Demonstrations took place in Edmonton, Toronto and Calgary, among other cities.

This video, filmed in Medicine Hat, Alberta, shows protesters donning the yellow vests that have become emblematic of the movement and singing O Canada, the country's national anthem.
