Assange supporters gather outside Ecuador Embassy after his arrest

Supporters of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange gathered outside the Ecuador Embassy in London to protest his arrest today (April 11).

Footage captured shows protesters holding placards reading ''Freedom for Julian Assange'' and slamming Ecuador’s current president, Lenin Moreno, as a ''traitor''.

The famous whistleblower, dragged from the Ecuadorian embassy by British police earlier today, is now facing extradition to the United States and up to 12 months in a British prison.
