Baby elephant gets stuck in 2-metre-deep mud hole in China


Dozens of rescuers built up a slope for a trapped baby elephant to climb out of a two-metre-deep mud hole in southwestern China.

The video, shot in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan province on June 3, shows a baby elephant trying to escape the mud pit but failing.

Another clip shows the elephant finally climbing out of the hole at night through a slope that was built up by a loader.

According to reports, 38 rescuers, one drone and one loader were sent to save the elephant.
