Bald Eagle Snatches Catch

Occurred on June 18, 2019 / Pinantan Lake, British Columbia, USA

Info from Licensor: "I was fishing by myself on the lake I live on and there is a pesky eagle couple that have a nest right above an area where fish are frequently caught. Luckily, I had my phone right beside me when he started to swoop in and attempt to take it. He was unsuccessful a number of times. Every time he would dive at it I would pull my fishing rod or quickly reel to keep him from getting his talons on it. Unfortunately, I was unable to keep it from his grip but I was able to grab my line as it was screaming out of the real in an attempt to break the line and the eagle let the fish go. I reeled the limp, mangled fish to the boat and ended up feeding it to the eagle."
