Beautiful double rainbow seen above Buddhist snake statue

A stunning double rainbow was seen above a statue of a golden snake overlooking the Mekong River in Nakhon Phanom, northern Thailand.

The beautiful sight was captured from the Naga brass sculpture, a seven-headed snake 15-metres high and an important symbol in Buddhist mythology.

The filmer said he captured the scene during a sunset moments after a heavy rainstorm had passed. He said: ''I love the beautiful scenery of my country. This was one of the most magical sights I have experienced.''

Naga, in Hinduism and Buddhism, is the Sanskrit word for a deity taking the form of a great snake, specifically the multi-headed king cobra.
