Boris Johnson has been revealed as the Edenbridge Bonfire guy 2018

Edenbridge Bonfire Society has been famous for poking fun at the famous for more than 20 years, by building and exploding a huge 11-metre tall effigy alongside the traditional figure of Guy Fawkes.

Footage captured this morning (October 31) shows a large figure resembling the former foreign secretary Boris Johnson ready to be burned during the Bonfire Night ceremony.

Past characters have included the likes of Lance Armstrong, Donald Trump and Wayne Rooney.

During the 2016 EU referendum, Johnson gained some infamy for standing in front of a bus claiming Britain would keep £350 million a week if it left the EU.

He later resigned this July as foreign secretary after becoming disgruntled with the Government's approach to Brexit.
