Brexit Betrayal March starts second leg

The billboard trucks of pro-EU group Led By Donkeys, highlighting Tweets and comments made by ex-UKIP leader Nigel Farage, continued to follow the Leave Means Leave campaign group’s Brexit Betrayal March as it started its second leg from Hartlepool to Middlesborough.

The billboards featured old Tweets by Farage which appeared to undermine the aims of the marchers.

"I'm reaching the point of thinking that we should have a second referendum," read one of Farage's tweets Tweets from January 2018.

"In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way," read another from May 2016.

Leave Mean Leave founder Richard Tice said it was important to understand how frustrated Brexit voters are and the government should respect what people voted for and just leave the EU.
