Camp Fire evacuees to be relocated to make way for basketball tournament

Camp Fire evacuees living at the Butte County Fairgrounds will be moved to accommodate an annual basketball tournament, media reported on December 5.

The grounds became an official shelter after evacuees who had settled at a Walmart parking lot as the fire broke out were relocated. They will now be moved to Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico due to the Gridley Invitational Basketball Tournament that will be held at Farmers Hall.

This video, filmed by Carl Barlett, shows tents and trailers parked at the fairgrounds.

According to local authorities, the number of missing persons has dropped to 10.
