Car bomb in Kashmir kills at least 18 Indian Reserve Police officers

A van packed with explosives rammed into a bus carrying police officers in Kashmir, north India today (February 14), killing at least 18 and injuring at least 20 more.

Footage of the scene caught by a local villager nearby shows chaos on the Srinagar-Jammu highway where the incident took place, with clouds of smoke and abandoned vehicles visible.

Later footage shot by an on-site journalist shows police and military vehicles arriving on site for support.

Casualties are mounting, as the highway was hosting a convoy of Central Reserve Police Force vehicles when the bombing occurred, with the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed claiming responsibility.
