Charging elephant comes face-to-face with Indian forestry officials

An elephant charged at Indian forest officials who were trying to chase it back to the forestry.

A few elephants had been spotted near a brick kiln near Coimbatore in southern Tamil Nadu state on December 20.

Responding to a distress call, forest officials got in a jeep to drive them back to the forest.

Most elephants retreated. However, one of them decided to charge at the vehicles instead, only finally retreating after it had chased off the officials, according to local sources.
