Cherry Festival Magic Carpet Ride Malfunction

Info from Licensor: I took this video at the National Cherry Festival, on July 8th, 2021 in Traverse City, Michigan. It was around 11 pm when I noticed the Magic Carpet ride spinning around at a faster than normal speed. The ride ended up having a malfunction that sent the ride spinning out of control. The momentum from the spin caused the ride to rock forward and backward, and it was in danger of tipping back into the Boardman River that was flowing about 20 feet behind it. I stopped recording and joined the crowd of people rushing to counterbalance the ride and stop it from tipping back. The end result was no one was hurt and they got everyone off the ride safely.
