Chinese couple manage to escape minibus engulfed in flames

A Chinese couple narrowly escaped from a minibus that suddenly burst into flames in a tunnel on G1523 Ningbo-Dongguan Expressway in eastern China.

The dramatic clip, shot in Ningbo city in Zhejiang province on June 27, shows a huge ball of fire suddenly bursting out of a minibus driving through the Jiaodong'ao tunnel.

The minibus driver can be seen running out of the burning vehicle and then his wife is seen rolling out of the vehicle into the middle of the road.

The minibus driver went back to drag his wife to the side of the road and a passing driver sent the couple to hospital.

The driver's wife suffered serious scalds and had to have surgery. She is in hospital awaiting further treatment.
