Chinese lumberjacks transport dozens of logs downriver by RIDING them

Several lumberjacks were filmed transporting piles of wood out of the Changbai Mountains in northeast China by floating them down the Yalu River.

The clip, shot in Baishan City in Jilin Province on November 21, 2018, shows lumberjacks standing on the wood that was tied together as a raft to paddle down the Yalu River.

The 700-kilometre-long river is the only route to transport the timber from the Changbai Mountains to the Andong Wharf.

The timber merchants brought the lumberjacks to go inside the mountains in early winter to fell the trees, and then transport them to the riverside with the help of melting ice and snow in spring.
