Clever dog cools off in water fountain on hot day

A stray dog found an unusual place to cool off in Thailand's scorching heat - sitting on the top of a water fountain.

The light brown Aspin dog somehow clambered on top of the slippery porcelain bowl and plonked himself in the bubbling but cool liquid at the top.

Driver Natthawut Holiang, 21, saw him when she stopped by the gas station in Saraburi, central Thailand, on March 17 when temperatures reached 35C.

She said: ''The dog looked so pleased with himself. I think he was happy that he'd found a nice place to stay cool. It was so hot that day.''
