Colombian police fire tear gas at university students during nation-wide protests


Police clashed with university students in Bogota during a march calling on the government to boost public funding for education.

Footage captured on November 28 shows police officers firing tear gas to disperse a crowd of protesters.

Thousands of students marched through several cities in Colombia with the support of trade unionists, peasants and indigenous people, in another day of protests for the defence of public universities.
