Commuting Cow

Occurred on April 3, 2021 / Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Info from Licensor: "I was on my way to photograph a family session (I’m a photographer) on Saturday morning, when traffic started slowing and I heard police sirens. I was on a major highway (285), so I assumed a wreck had just happened. Traffic delays are normal and expected in Atlanta, so I wasn’t surprised. As traffic kept slowing, I looked out of my window to my left and saw a cow. I was shocked and started laughing! Not exactly what I was expecting! Police stopped all traffic, and I was about 7 cars behind the action. Other bystanders hopped into action, bringing rope to the scene and making lassos to help catch the cow. The chase went on for about 15-20 minutes. It was wild and unlike anything I’ve seen! They ended up catching the cow thanks to a bystander who jumped into the action to help wrangle the cow. Apparently, the cow had fallen out of a truck on the highway, and I just happened to be right next to it."
