Cool Camouflaged Flounder

Occurred on December 28, 2018 / Socorro Island, Mexico

Info from Licensor: "Watch the colors of this Tropical Flounder change colors as if finds its resting place. The flounder relies on camouflage for its safety. When threatened, the flounder will change colors in a bright pattern to confuse potential predators and swim away. Once it finds a new resting place it will blend in to hide.

The Tropical Flounder can be found in the warmer tropical zones in the Pacific Ocean. There is a similar flounder in the Caribbean called a Peacock Flounder.

This one I filmed at Socorro Island. A part of the Revillagigedo Archipelago in Mexico. 280 miles from Cab San Lucas. I have also seen Tropical Flounder in the Galapagos Islands."
