Cyclist mowed down by hit-and-run driver in Leeds

A cyclist was knocked off his bike by a hit-and-run driver in Leeds last night (April 2).

Dash-cam video from a parked car in Beeston south of the city centre shows a speeding vehicle come from behind and collide with a cyclist ahead, knocking the rider to the ground.

Customers from the local pub quickly come to the aid of the cyclist after the incident occurred.

According to the owner of the dash-cam vehicle, a passenger in the hit-and-run car rolled down the window and could be heard laughing before the vehicle drove off.

This could not be independently confirmed by Newsflare.

"Police would not attend due to not having the vehicles registration plate number," the owner of the dash-cam vehicle claimed.

West Yorkshire Police have been contacted.
