Cyclone Fani causes extensive damage on Andhra Pradesh coast in eastern India


Cyclone Fani slammed into eastern India earlier today (May 3) bringing down trees and power lines and damaging properties in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh.

Footage shows downed trees blocking roads as heavy winds batter the area. Residents can be seen picking up rubble littering the coast further in the video.

About 20,000 people were evacuated to 126 relief camps in Srikakulam district, where the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is carrying out relief operations.
