Dad breaks down in tears after he finishes marathon holding his dead son's photo

This is the heartbreaking moment a dad broke down in tears after he finished a marathon in China, holding his dead son’s photo in his hand.

The video, captured in Nanchang City in southern Jiangxi Province last Sunday, shows a man named Li Gang kneeling on the runway and wailing while two paramedics taking care of him.

Li says: “He (my son) should have come with me,” while trying to wipe away his tears.

Li and his son planned to participate this year’s marathon together, but his son drowned accidentally during a summer holiday.

In order to complete the final promise he had with his son, Li signed up and finished the marathon race in 2’55’’52.
