Denying Scotsman: Family disappointed as train blocks view of legendary locomotive

This was the hilariously disappointing moment a Scottish family were denied a viewing of the Flying Scotsman, as another train blocked the view of it passing.

In footage captured last night (May 9) in Dunbar, East Lothian the legendary locomotive is seen approaching on the far side of the tracks but is soon obscured by a modern Cross Country train on the near side.

Katharine Rudden who was with her five-year-old son Aidan and partner at the time told Newsflare: "We couldn’t believe it at the time! My son giggled and my partner had to refrain himself from laughing!

"We even got our son out of bed to see it."

Rudden later added: "We were waiting for a good 10 minutes!"
