Deployed soldier sends his rescue dogs his old t-shirt so they remember him

Rachel Aument’s husband has been deployed in the army for nine months, so he sent the best gift home for his rescue pup to remind them of him.

The clip, filmed on March 22 at their home in Pennsylvania, shows Brindle the six-year-old dog discovering his absent owner's shirt after being apart for most of the year.

Brindle's reaction to smelling his dad's scent again after so long is incredibly heartwarming.

Brindle found his forever home with Rachel and her husband after they rescued him from a local animal shelter nearly five years ago.

“My husband has been deployed with the Army for nine months, his rescue dog has missed him so much! I’m not crying, you’re crying!” Rachel told Newsflare.
