Destination Downing Street: Voting to close in race to become UK's next PM


Voting closes on Monday (July 22) in the race to become Britain’s next prime minister.

Members of the ruling Conservative Party have until 5pm (1600 GMT) to return postal ballots in the contest between Jeremy Hunt and Brexiteer and favourite Boris Johnson to lead the party.

The winner will be announced around Tuesday lunchtime and will take over from Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday.
