Devastating flooding brings Ontario town to state of emergency

Severe flooding has hit central and eastern Canada today (April 26), inundating communities and forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes.

Footage captured in Huntsville town shows roads washed out and piles of sandbags emerging to the surface of the flood waters.

One resident can be seen standing atop of a house roof after flood waters reached the ground floor of his home.

Heavy rains and rising water will continue to hit the area in the next few days.
