Emergency services rescue sleeping truck driver hit by Missouri tornado


Emergency services in Eldon town, Missouri rescued a man from inside his wrecked truck after a violent tornado hit the area on May 22.

Footage shows emergency personnel carefully pulling the man out of the overturned vehicle and transporting him on a stretcher.

The filmer, a resident in Eldon, said: ‘’Around 10:30 to 10:45 PM the Eldon sirens were sounding. We were all told to head to the storm shelters.

‘’Around 11:45 PM they were dismissing us. I heard the supervisor say over the radio that something is happening in the parking lot.

‘’I headed there to find this seen with employees and emergency personnel helping the driver.’’

Residents in Eldon in Missouri have reported serious damage to properties and power lines in the wake of the tornado.
