Excited photographer captures the moment huge alligator kills massive Burmese python

This was the incredible moment when a massive alligator starts throwing around his prey, an equally massive Burmese python.

The filmer, Ewan Wilson told Newsflare: “The Burmese python is an invasive species in South Florida and is an environmental hazard to the Everglades.

"These snakes were brought to Florida via the pet trade, their owners soon found out that they were not able to look after a snake that could grow from 4-10 metres so they released them into the Everglades.

"However, Florida's local super predators will not give up their throne so easily!”

The video was filmed on February 12 in Shark Valley Visitors Centre located in the heart of the Everglades, South Florida.
