Extensive damage to Sicilian town near Mount Etna after Boxing Day quake

The town of Fleri near Mount Etna in Sicily has been badly damaged by a 4.8-magnitude earthquake which struck on Boxing Day (December 26).

A video filmed today (Friday) showed the extent of the destruction to homes, churches and roads.

The quake, which injured dozens and left several hundred homeless, was triggered by the mass of moving magma from the nearby volcano.
