Filipino children make the most of the bad weather by playing in flooded street

Children play on a flooded road while their mothers clean their house after monsoon rains in the Philippines.

The youngsters were happily doing cartwheels and doggy paddling in the water while despairing adults had to make their homes safe.

Footage of the submerged neighbourhood in San Pedro, Laguna, was taken by local resident Nelson Argoncillo on Saturday (August 17).

He said: "It rained non-stop so now we have a mini-pool outside. The children took advantage of their busy mothers and played with their friends."
