Firefighters rescue dog from icy pond

An ice rescue unfolded in Colorado Springs, Colo., when a dog plunged into a frozen pond. Concerned park-goers promptly dialed 911 for assistance. The footage captures a firefighter, securely tethered to a lifeline, bravely immersing himself into the icy waters to rescue the stranded canine.

After successfully grasping the K-9, both rescuer and dog were safely pulled back to solid ground. Despite enduring a chilly and frightening afternoon, the dog seemed to be in good condition.
