Firetrucks arrive as massive blaze engulfs Lenta hypermarket in St. Petersburg


Sirens blare loudly as firetrucks arrive at the scene of the Lenta hypermarket fire in St. Petersburg, Russia, which began just before 9:00am local time on Saturday.

The footage shows the early stages of the fire at roughly 8:40am, according to the filmer.

Some 800 people had to be evacuated from the enormous store. Only one person was injured, according to local media reports.

The fire was later brought under control.
