Freezing rain causes ice to encase trees, roads and powerlines in Ontario
Freezing rain and icy conditions in Ontario, Canada made for beautiful scenes but also power outages and slippery conditions, as the trees and powerlines were encased in ice.
Video of the icy winter scenes near Toronto on February 6 showed how the freezing rain had frozen itself completely around trees, branches and other outdoor surfaces, while firemen were attempting to repair frozen powerlines.
