French mountain biker narrowly avoids smashing into group of people sitting on stairs

This mountain biker was riding around his hometown of Blois, central France, when he narrowly avoids slamming into a group of students sitting out of view on a flight of stairs.

The helmet-cam footage from April 5 shows the cyclist going at some speed through the streets of the city before he shoots down the stairs straight through the middle of the students.

After apologising, the biker and the students were able to joke about the situation. "All was good no one got hurt and we laughed about it," said the cyclist.

Luckily the biker manages to limit the casualties down to a handbag, which he ran over.
