Grizzly Mama and Cub Dodge a Train

Occurred on June 2, 2026 / Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Info from Licensor: "This was filmed along the Trans-Canada corridor between Banff and Lake Louise, within Banff National Park. We spent roughly half an hour on June 2nd observing them from a safe distance (park rangers were there too). The mama bear was alone at first, her cub joining her shortly before a train came through. I initially assumed they were feeding on dandelions, but comments on the Instagram video set me straight: they were actually picking up grain spilled from passing trains, a tragically common occurrence, which another cub from the same mother had been killed this way just recently. Once the train passed, the two returned to the tracks, and that's when the rangers asked everyone to disperse."
